Müge Anlı Complains About Lack of Support From Her Husband on Live TV
Müge Anlı, the well-known Turkish television host and journalist, spoke openly during a live broadcast about her married life, expressing frustration over the lack of help she receives from her husband in household responsibilities. She stated that despite being a working woman, all domestic duties still fall entirely on her shoulders.
These remarks were made on the program Tatlı Sert, which airs on ATV. Müge Anlı, who married Şinasi Yüzbaşıoğlu, the Head of the Public Order Branch of the Istanbul Police Department, in 2022, shared her concerns about balancing professional life while managing all household tasks alone.
“I am also a working woman, but my husband never even brings me tea. I come home, cook the food, set the table, and prepare the tea myself. He never says, ‘This woman is working.’”
Müge Anlı’s candid statements quickly drew widespread attention and once again highlighted the issue of unequal division of household responsibilities and the pressure faced by working women in their daily lives.
